‘Aggressive Birds’ Standing Together

Seagulls were wheeling and swooping and standing all around when I visited Cockatoo Island last Thursday. They were particularly active around lunch time, as they waited eagerly from a safe distance for my friends and I to finish our food. They started to become boisterous in their excitement, jostling at each other for better vantage points. I took a ridiculous number of photographs of this charming species and so you can expect a number of seagull images in my following posts.

These images were taken when they were standing together in solidarity, instead of violently pecking at one another.
